Oracle has received a warm response from its UK users group, with a new survey reported that the users are pleased with function and features of the development tools offered by the company.

A survey of 550 Oracle users, published ahead of annual UK Oracle User Group Conference and Exhibition, reported that 96 percent of its users are happy with its development tools, while 94 percent expressed their satisfaction with its DBA tools.

Moreover, Oracle E-Business Suite Financials and Oracle Supply Chain have also scored impressively in this survey, with the former achieved positive response from 98 percent of users, while the latter has received satisfied feedback from 97 percent users.

Last year, UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) survey had figured out “product support”, as the prime issue customers wanted Oracle to address, but 2008 survey has revealed that users are much more pleased with its services than before, according to Ronan Miles, Chairman UKOUG.

He further asserted that the positive feedback has showed intensive efforts from the company to address the issues of its customers of acquired vendors, including PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and Siebel.

Despite the notable positive response from its customers, Miles asserted that scope of improvement still exists in some crucial areas, and said in a statement, “Oracle is so complex that it is not possible to understand all the various issues affecting the whole user community”.
