T-Mobile Partners With BAA To Turn Terminal 5 Into Wi-Fi Hotspot

T-Mobile Partners With BAA To Turn Terminal 5 Into Wi-Fi Hotspot

T-Mobile’s Terminal 5 has turned out to be UK’s largest Wi-Fi hotspot at the Heathrow Airport, which will allow the passengers of the airport to access the net on their Wi-Fi enabled devices, such as laptops, PDAs, smartphones, etc, with impressive speeds up to 8Mbps.

T-Mobile launched the services in partnership with BAA, and it would be free of charge for the T-Mobile customers, and the other customers would require paying GBP5 for one hour, or GBP10 for round the clock access.

BAA’s Ian Denchfield said, “Seamless internet connectivity is an important part of our commitment to innovation and will form a key element in the future of travel.”

This has arguably made the company as the largest Wi-Fi provider in world with more than one thousand Wi-Fi hotspots in UK, and some twenty seven thousand Wi-Fi junctions across the entire globe.

Terminal 5 of the Heathrow Airport is one of the busiest in UK and holds an average 27 million passengers daily.
